Cyprus Football Matches, live world wide on live streaming platform MyCujoo

Thursday, 19 December 2019

The Cyprus Football Association has the pleasure to announce that they have reached an agreement with the live football streaming platform MyCujoo for the live broadcast of Cyprus Cyta Championship matches and Coca-Cola Cup matches worldwide, excluding Cyprus.

The agreement includes the live broadcast of clubs whose TV rights are affiliated with the Cyprus Football Association (Apollon Limassol, AEL Limassol, Olympiakos Nicosia, Nea Salamina Famagusta, Ethnikos Achnas, EN Paralimniou and Doxa Katokopias).

The agreement, which commences with immediate effect, kicks off with the broadcast of the matchday 14 fixture between AEL Limassol and APOEL Nicosia on Saturday 21 December (Kick-off 19:00 EET/18:00 CET).

The first two matchdays of the Cyprus Cyta Championship will be available to watch free of charge. From matchday 16 onwards matches can be watched on a pay-per-view basis (€5 per match).

As part of the agreement, the Cyprus Second Division, the Dimco Women’s Championship, and the Futsal Championship will also be broadcast live on MyCujoo. Matches from these competitions will always be available to watch for free both in Cyprus and abroad.

The first Second Division match to be broadcast live on the MyCujoo platform will be Alki and Agia Napa on Friday 20 December (Kick-off 18:00 EET/l17:00 CET).

The Cyprus FA believes that by concluding this agreement with the world-leading football streaming platform MyCujoo, it will help increase the value of Cyprus football by enabling the association to share their games worldwide and drive exposure, whilst also providing an opportunity to the many Cypriots who live abroad to engage with the club they love, including by watching live games at the lowest possible cost.

Commenting on the agreement, Pedro Presa, MyCujoo Co-Founder and CEO said, “This agreement with the Cyprus FA sees a UEFA member association broadcasting their flagship competition on MyCujoo for the first time. MyCujoo is enabling more clubs, leagues, and federations around the world to reach their fans, further monetise the content they own, and build revenues which can then be directly reinvested back into the game and we’re excited to have been chosen by the Cyprus FA to help them to deliver this”.
